Is Panda Plant Toxic to Dogs?

Yes — Panda Plant is moderately toxic to dogs

Panda Plant is a fuzzy succulent with soft gray-green leaves edged in brown. Like all Kalanchoe species, it contains bufadienolides (cardiac glycosides). Small amounts cause GI upset; large ingestions can affect heart rhythm, especially in cats.

Symptoms in Dogs

If your dog eats Panda Plant, watch for these symptoms (onset: 2 to 12 hours):

  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Abnormal heart rhythm
  • Weakness
  • Collapse (large amounts)

What To Do
